'Baaghi' Sequel Not A Continuation Of The Earlier Film; Sequel Kicks Off In January '17

Director Sabbir Khan's Baaghi set the cash registers ringing in April and post that the makers of the film decided to make it a franchise. The sequel of the film, which also stars Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, is set to go on floors from January next year in Shanghai.

Reportedly, the sequel will have a different story and will not be a continuation of the earlier film. Sources said that instead of taking the story forward, the sequel is touted to be a completely different film but with the same theme. One portion of the action-romance will be shot in China and the other one in India.

Sources added that the scripting of the film is currently under way and casting for a fierce villain is underway. Meanwhile, Tiger is working on A Flying Jatt and Shraddha is working on the sequel of Rock On and Half Girlfriend.
